This photographic project documents a deeply personal experience developed during my Erasmus semester in Germany. The session consisted of portraying every person I met throughout that period, conceived as a visual commemoration of the individuals who shared a part of themselves with me and whom I now carry with me beyond that time and place.
Through the use of double exposure, I sought to capture their most genuine and unfiltered emotions—those moments that exist beneath words or posed gestures. This technique allowed me to layer inner states with external presence, creating portraits that feel both intimate and symbolic. Color and background were carefully selected to amplify these emotional narratives, acting as visual extensions of each subject’s mood, identity, and energy.
Together, the images form a collective memory: a tribute to connection, transience, and the emotional imprint left by human encounters across cultures.
