DER BERG RUFT - Integrate movement into your daily life
Interviews
Problems: The big three
I don’t have time
It’s hard to incorporate exercise into daily life. Many people sit at a desk all day and don’t move because they don’t have time to do a “proper” workout.
I’m not motivated
After a long, tiring day at work, many people find it difficult to motivate themselves to exercise or go for a walk.
I don’t want to do it alone
If you don’t exercise with other people, you may stop earlier than someone who exercises and is motivated by friends.
Challenge
Solution: The big levers
Better use of time
Use small amounts of free time to exercise and improve your health. Make it easy to incorporate exercise into your daily life.
Have fun while moving
Gamification provides a playful environment that helps keep users motivated.
Making progress tangible
Based on our interviews, we needed a way to show users their progress. That’s why we integrated a digital twin of the user.
Set and achieve new goals
Challenges offer a sense of achievement when completed.
Motivate each other
With the multiplayer aspect, you can motivate each other. You also become more ambitious in competitions.
Walking improves health
Walking is something that everyone can do. It’s really easy to integrate it into your everyday life and offers health benefits if you do it regularly.
App
How does our product differ from other running apps?
It’s not just about running
You don’t necessarily have to walk for 1 hour to improve your health. We have found that walking more also leads to health benefits.
No planning required
Normally, you need a big time slot to do exercise. Our concept is that you can also use the small windows of time that are too small for a whole workout.
If you add up a lot of short walks, you get the one big walk that you didn’t have enough time for in the first place.
Walking can be fun
Normal running apps do not offer much interaction between the community.
They also do not enhance the running or walking experience by adding new components that help the user to continuously
use the service.
