In this series, I explore the relationship between
the skeleton and the shell—how construction can
become its own facade, and how the shell alters the
identity of the structure.
What holds what? When does the structure become
the shell, and when does the shell support the skeleton?
How do these two elements coexist,
influence each other, and sometimes even switch roles?
During my time in Germany, I observed how the relationship between
structure and shell changes from place to place,
affecting the way I perceive a building.
In this series, I examine this dynamic, how the two work together,
and particularly how they influence the identity of the structure and the space.
