Many elderly people and individuals with disabilities face challenges in their everyday life. Although many neighbors are willing to help, they often don’t know who needs support or how to offer it. Meanwhile, those who need help may hesitate to ask, fearing they might be a burden. This disconnect leaves small, everyday needs unmet — despite a willingness to help within communities.
Favour is an app that connects neighbors in need with those who are ready to help – quickly, easily, and without barriers.
Favour – userflow
Three roles – your choice
You can decide which profile fits your needs best. Once you sign up, you can choose one or more of these roles:
Care receiver (someone who needs help)
Caregiver (someone who wants to help)
Person of Trust (a trusted contact or helper)
Safety is very important to us. To ensure that neighborhood support remains trustworthy, we want to verify that every user is a real person during the sign-up process. This is done through various verification options designed to confirm identities reliably. Additionally, every care receiver can assign a trusted contact – a Person of Trust – who receives full access to their profile and activities, offering an extra layer of safety and support.
Profiles you can choose from
Ask for help – with your voice
Creating a request is simple. You can speak to the app – it uses AI to turn your words into text. This helps people who don’t like typing or find it hard to type. You can change the text, delete it, or skip to the next question if you don’t want to answer right now. In your request, you say when you need help, what kind of help, and how people can contact you. Your neighbors will see your request – and those who can help will reply to you.
Creating a request
See who wants to help
When someone offers to help, you can view their profile to learn more about them — including their experience, level, and feedback from others. This gives you a better sense of who they are. If it feels right, you can easily start a chat to ask questions or confirm the final details together. As always your Person of Trust is added automatically to your chats to check if everything is good.
