Joiner addresses a common challenge: travelers often feel lonely or disconnected in new cities, while locals rarely have an easy way to meet people from other countries — outside of dating or long-term friendship platforms.

Joiner bridges that gap by helping travelers connect with locals in a simple, social, and meaningful way. It also empowers travelers to create their own meetups, encouraging spontaneous and real-life connections.

With an easy join system, users can quickly participate in events or create their own. Safety is a core feature: verified badges provide trust, and users can view profiles and chat with participants before the event — helping you feel confident about who you’re meeting.

To support the user, we provide a brief, friendly explanation of how the app works, along with a selection of pre-created tags they can simply choose from — making the first steps effortless.

Our goal during onboarding is to make it as easy as possible for users to share who they are — so others can quickly see what excites them and what makes them unique.

The “Create Event” flow was designed to make it comfortable and intuitive for users to set up an event. Users can easily search for the address on the map, followed by a step-by-step flow to add a description and set the time.

Both visitors and locals also have the option to use the AI Suggest button, which provides ready-made examples they can choose from — making the process even quicker and more inspiring.

Joiner includes an integrated chat where users can connect, exchange details, and get to know each other before an event.

Hosts receive join requests directly in the chat, along with the requester’s profile — making it easy to decide if someone fits the group.

Requests can be accepted or declined with a single tap. Once accepted, everyone can share updates, ask questions, and make plans together.
