Mura is a swimming aid for adults. It was specially designed to be less conspicuous and to give non- swimmers more confidence and joy during swimming. About 52% of adults in Germany are poor swimmers or even non-swimmers according to own information. I designed this swimming aid to fight against embarrassing water wings and on the other hand to evoke fun and courage to swim.

This type of swimming aid is completely new on the market and facilitates swimming by providing support from below. Unlike the usual swimming wings, the arms can be used freely for various exercises without anything interfering. The foams attached to the chest area provide buoyancy to the person, giving the swimmer security and confidence. The product is not intended to replace a safety vest, but is rather a supportive friend to learn to swim without shame or fear. It is also very suitable for unsteady swimmers or for people who cannot hold themselves on the water surface by their own power. It can also be a facilitating support in the water therapy area to give some security to the patients and therapists.

In order to create an optimal shape that covers the upper body for men as well as for women, many different variations were drawn. The final Y-shape is unisex wearable and due to the four separate foam sections adaptable to any body. With the help of concealed belts you can perfectly adjust the swimming aid to your own body. The shape of the foams are rounded and ensure safe use, while the edges on the corners give a dynamic and sporty look. Neoprene is flexible and stretchable. It is also perfect for use in the water and is also comfortable on the skin.
