What does a place look like once it has become a memory?
These photographs are less about documenting a building than about preserving a memory. During my exchange semester, I began wondering how this place would stay with me once I had left. I imagined it not as a perfectly sharp image, but as light, colour, atmosphere, and quiet moments.
I experimented with different camera settings and filters on my phone, but ultimately chose an old Canon digital compact camera. Its natural rendering of light and colour created the atmosphere I was looking for. The light and colours are entirely unedited, allowing the older digital camera to shape the character of each image.
