quick fasteners

Quick fasteners were chosen as fundamental principle for fastening. They are ideal for quickly adapting the handlebar to the customer because tools aren’t needed. To change the angle of the levers, you can open the fastener in the middle of the stem. On each brake lever there is another fastener. It provides the option to change the distance between the lever and the grip.

To adjust the width of the handlebar, you loosen the quick fastener at the top. Then, you simultaneously press the buttons on the handlebar and slide the cylindrical sections into one another. This mechanism provides three different widths of the handlebar. At the same time it is secured that the handlebar is always placed in the middle of the stem.

As the steering tube can be moved within a slotted hole, the length and height of the stem are variable. Once you have found the ideal position, you close the quick fastener on the side. These possible positions are shown in the sectional view.
