Pyramid Portal is a trippy and experimental song that is built with 5 main intruments: the handpan, the mexican guitar, the bells, the chord guitar and the hi hats.
There is a story going on throughout the song that lead us to watch it as if it was a short film. The chord guitar is there, lonely and doing her own thing, when suddenly the handpan comes to join her. Then there come the bells to be a part of the picture and the mexican guitar doesn’t stay behind: he joins the conversation and they all start to talk, when suddenly… the drop appears to explode it all.
We started by setting up a story that would help us next to analyse every scene of it. Every instrument would reflect a certain feeling and by associating that with visual attributes, we would be able to tell a visual story. With this information we did our final animation.
