When we encounter the monumental domes of Europe
—like the Galleria in Milan or the Opéra Garnier in Paris—
We are instinctively driven by a singular gesture: tilting our heads upward, trying to consume the entire architectural grandeur in a single, breathless glance.
This work stems from that very desire to capture the uncapturable.
By merging a 360-degree panoramic perspective with meticulous photocollage, this piece collapses two distinct geographical icons into one shared, immersive space. Driven by an obsession with both the overwhelming scale and the micro-details of these structures, I captured each intricate element piece by piece. The resulting dimensional puzzle allows the viewer to navigate the tension between the macro-grandeur that captures our awe and the micro-details that command our focus.
